AHF Advocates for Action on World TB Day
AHF commemorated World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 with global events,
including rallies, educational sessions, and, of course, TB testing. AHF country teams also sent letters to their respective heads of state calling on them to prioritize TB globally by personally attending the United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB in September in New York City.

| The AHF China team marked World TB Day with a social media campaign on two platforms similar to TikTok (pictured).
The team also sent press releases through numerous media outlets that promoted the "Yes! We can end TB" messages across multiple provinces. The statements advocated for the government and public health institutions to promote TB research, prevention, and treatment programs and increase funding for TB overall.

The team in Nigeria got “Yes! We Can End TB” messaging out far and wide in a dozen media outlets, calling on increased action on TB in the country. “Ending TB for us in Nigeria must come with an intensified level of case finding and for patients who show up in hospitals to embrace treatment, which is free across health facilities,” said Dr. Echey Ijezie, Country Program Director at AHF Nigeria.
